Sure, some trends can be a little out there or tough to pull off, but you won’t find those here. I’m all about showing off WEARABLE, professional, office-ready styles that’ll instantly elevate your wardrobe!
And because I know so many of you are working in casual, business casual or even more laid-back environments, I’ve included some looks that fit right in there too.

Burgundy: The Classic Wearable Fall Trend Making Waves in 2024
Burgundy is wearable, classic, fall color you’ll find in full force in 2024. In its varying shades, it’s a hue that flatters almost everyone.
I’m especially seeing a lot of burgundy/oxblood in shoes…
True story—last year, I bought a gorgeous pair of Theory charcoal wool, wide-leg trousers. But what shoes? Obviously, black would’ve worked, but it just felt so boring.
So, I got creative (like I love doing for my clients) and dreamed up burgundy boots. But I COULD NOT FIND THEM! (Trust me, I looked everywhere.) So, I ended up returning the pants.
Still kinda crying about it…feelin’ confident I’ll find the burgundy boots this year!
Moral of the story: If you’ve been around Elements of Image for a while, you know I’m all about buying complete outfits. I just couldn’t justify letting $400 pants sit in my closet unworn!

Green: Nature’s Favorite Wearable Fall Trend
Olive green is the most prevalent green of the fall 2024 season, but you can count on any shade from forest to fern to update your wardrobe.
Green looks great with lots of other hues, but it’s also gorgeous as a monochromatic color scheme. For example, picture dark military green pants with a lighter olive top or jacket. Finish the look with olive leather shoes and a bag!
Blazers: The Ultimate Wearable Fall Trend for 2024
I know…”groundbreaking” but hear me out. I remember a time in the not too distant past when my clients needed suits and blazers, and I couldn’t find a single one. Now in 2024 they’re EVERYWHERE…and so wearable! Woo-hoo!!!!!
What style of blazer you ask? Pretty much any style—Long, oversize, cinched, cropped, classic…you name it!
And the true beauty of a blazer is that you can wear it with almost anything for any occasion!
Work from home? Top a pair of jeans and a T for a coffee date with your business bestie.
Attending a gala? Choose a tuxedo blazer for a little warmth over your satin slip dress!
Update Your Jeans Wardrobe with these Wearable, edgy styles
It almost goes without saying that denim is the ultimate wearable fall trend.
Unless the company dress code strictly forbids it, most of my clients wear jeans at least one day a week, so I’d be remiss to leave it out of the trend report. Here are a couple of fresh, denim styles to look for.
Indigo: The “newest” denim is the color of raw, untreated, and unwashed denim. Think unwashed Levi’s 501’s. Obviously it’s very dark, almost a blue black. It gives off a “cool girl” vibe and has the added advantage that it’ll stay dark for quite some time.
Large cuffs: Wide and straight leg jeans with extra-wide cuffs started showing up on fashion’s radar in the spring. This is the trendiest item on my list this season.
Along with the idea this style may not stick around for long, they’re a little tricky to wear. They’ll be most flattering if you’ve got long legs.
So why did I include these large cuffed jeans on my list? I like them because in a season that seems to be filled with a plethora of traditional clothing and they’re something brand new.
Full Skirts: A Wearable Fall Trend That’s as Flattering as It Is Fun
Skirts are having a real moment for fall 2024. And while I’m also seeing denim, pencil, and slip skirts, full skirts are the freshest and most wearable.
I’m loving full skirts for a few reasons:
- They’re comfy
- They flatter lots of body types
- They’re fun and “swishy”
- They're the perfect style to show off your fab knee high boots!
And don’t worry about full skirts being “too dressy.” You can dress them up with a belted blazer a la Dior's New Look. Or go casual with a sweater or jean jacket...even sneakers.
