Now I know what you're thinking - isn't it a bit early to be talking about fall fashion when we're still enjoying the late summer sun?
But trust me, as a professional woman, your wardrobe will work best for you if you PLAN it. And I know you’re busy slaying it in your career and simply don’t have time to make style mistakes.
And you can’t afford to look out of sync with your personal brand!
So why am I giving you this super early style peek?
Because time flies, and before you know it, chilly days will be here. But you'll be prepared! Hanging out here with me, you’ll be armed with the deets of what's trending and what to add to your wardrobe.

As always, I'm bringing you FALL 2024 TRENDS that are both wearable and professional. And I’ve also snuck in a few ideas of what you can wear for travel, date night or GNO.
A few things to keep in mind if you're new here:
- I don't believe in fast fashion. The trends I bring you are ones I believe will last, leaving you looking stylish and high-quality, not trendy.
- Nothing extreme here - these are trends you can actually wear in real life.
- You don’t need to adopt any trends that don’t resonate with your personal style!
- These fall trends are fun, but I’m not suggesting buying a whole new wardrobe each and every season.

FALL 2024 TRENDS
Rich Browns: The Essential Fall 2024 Trend for Your Wardrobe
For the first time ever, I’ve seen more brown than black in the stores!
Do you need to get rid of all of your black to look stylish? No, but for the good majority of us, brown is more flattering than black.
If your skin tone is on the cooler side, go for cooler browns, think bittersweet dark chocolate.
Warm skin tones are more flattered by browns with yellow or red undertones. Imagine a yummy, chocolate fountain to find your best shade!
In addition to “traditional” brown, you’ll find raisin, saddle brown, caramel, camel and more.
Lastly, Pantone, the world’s foremost color forecaster, is giving us 2 browns.
The first color is called TOMATO CREAM! Hear me out…I KNOW tomatoes are red, but think of Campbell’s tomato soup made with milk and a little chocolate syrup. (Sounds gross 😂 Looks 👍)
The second Pantone color trend is called RAW UMBER, which is a cooler tone that pairs beautifully with Pantone’s “Dark, Dull Gray*” and “Baritone Blue.”
*I know…it sounds so ugly, but it’s actually beautiful!
Bold Reds: A Vibrant Fall 2024 Trend to Elevate Your Style
After 3 years of the fashion industry telling us that red is the biggest trend, it’s finally being represented at retail.
Red qualifies as a favorite color among a lot of my clients, so I’m excited to be able to put it in some fitting rooms this fall!
While I’m mostly seeing warm reds in the stores right now, it’s still early, and so I’m hopeful for all reds to be popping up soon.
For the office, red may be best as a pop of color; however, when you want to stand out from the crowd, red’s a sure winner. And if you REALLY want to stand out, there’s red leather (and faux leather)!
Bundle Up: Cozy Layering Trends for Fall
This trend can be summed up in one word—COZY!
At the helm of this bundled up trend is the scarf coat, essentially a coat with a scarf sewn onto the neckline. It doesn’t have to stop there—some coats have detachable scarves.
Obviously a long cozy knitted scarf wrapped around you any which way also feeds the trend. Seriously, the less you fuss with the wrap around, the better it’ll look.
Or look to soft capes, ponchos, or even soft hoods.
I especially like the idea of being able to top a blazer or blouse with a cozy shawl or scarf, replacing that plain black, back-of-the chair cardigan.
Work from home? The fall 2024 Bundle Up trend is a great way to camouflage a simple t-shirt or turtleneck and give your Zoom look some style!
Like being cozy comfy at work? This trend is the next best thing to being wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa, but you can wear it out…and get paid!
Wild Side: How to Rock Animal Print Trends in Fall 2024
Although animal print is truly a classic print (especially in leopard form) it went into hibernation the last few years.
This wild print has woken up and is out in full force!
For the office, depending on your culture and industry, you may want to stick to pops of print…perhaps a blouse under a jacket, shoes, belt or handbag.
Let loose and bring out the big cat print in a big way for weekend and evening!
Leather Weather: Incorporating Fall 2024's Leather Trend into Your Look
What’s new and interesting about leather for fall 2024 is:
- Buttery, “liquid” textures—This leather is so soft it almost seems like liquid. Think of the softest lambskin you’ve ever felt and then times it by 10! I’m especially loving buttery leather bomber jackets
- Color—you typically expect to see neutral color leather pieces, but this season leather is showing up in red, olive green, navy and more!
- Unusual pieces—like color, so often leather is reserved for classic jackets, but for fall 2024, wardrobe items like skirts, blazers, and bustiers are showing up in the luxurious material.
- Suede—Suede is a great way to add texture to your outfits, especially in accessories like belts, handbags, and shoes.
