I love to do posts about what to wear for Valentine’s Day. Admittedly, I’m a bit late in writing this for you to go out and pick up some new pieces (unless you want to play hooky and shop for a couple of hours!) So hopefully, you ‘ll be able to use this post to pick up a couple of pointers about how to create romantic, date outfits for this kind of in-between season. Otherwise, I hope you’ll be inspired to shop your closet a bit and create your own unique Valentine’s Day outfits.
What to Wear for a Dressy Valentine’s Occasion
Should you find yourself with reservations at a “fancy” restaurant, with theater tickets or the like, you’ll want an equally formal/sexy outfit. A dress is a perfect go to! No, there’s no one perfect Valentine’s day dress, although it seems like a perfect excuse to shop for one. I love being kitschy and theme-based for all holidays, including Valentine’s Day! If you prefer to be a little more subtle, feel free to wear your favorite little black dress and add red shoes. Or perhaps this is an extra special date?! See below...bring out the curves!

What to Wear for Valentine’s Day to your Favorite Restaurant
Planning on hitting up your favorite neighborhood bistro for an intimate, yet more casual dinner with your loved one? Maybe you typically wear jeans and sneaker to said go-to restaurant. Why not surprise your significant other and up your game a bit. Here’s a stylish outfit that’s easy and comfy, too!
Psst…You can totally wear your top on the outside, i.e. tucking not required. Feel free to add tights!
What to Wear for Galentine’s Day
That’s right, “Galentine’s Day”! Girl’s Night Out, Girl’s Night In…You know your crew deserves a bit ‘o love too! No boys allowed on this outing, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to look cute. Upping your style game always makes things (and you) feel a bit more special and fun. It doesn’t have to be a dress. A skirt isn’t required. Neither are heels! Try adding a fun top and jewelry to your favorite jeans and you’re good to go.
Can I just say there’s nothing more figure flattering than a wrap top? You might want to snatch this one up quick!
And there you have it all 3 options for Valentine’s Day… A hot dress for a special date, a skirt for your favorite restaurant and the most flattering top ever for a fun Galentine’s celebration!
Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥ Love, Dana
