Here it is! The e-Style Tip you’ve been waiting for, my Fall 2017 trend report.

Consider today as a sneak peek into what may be your favorite season. As wind starts to blow the leaves, I’ll take a deeper dive into how you can make my seasonal picks work for your wardrobe and the best way to wear them.

The trends I’m sharing today are some of my favorites…I’ll admit, there seem to be a lot of styles and themes I’m not loving, nor do they really work for Colorado gals. Rather than bash them, we just won’t talk about them!

Without much further ado, here is my

Fall Trend Report – 2017!

Red! I have many clients who love red. Well my friends, this fall is for you. Red is being touted as the color of the season. It seems to be showing up in all pieces, including boots!

Burgundy: If you prefer a little more subtlety, Burgundy may be more your speed. I’ve always loved the richness of this fall color (and wine, too, while we’re talking about it!)

Grey: One of my favorite neutrals, grey is back. It’s especially fantastic worn head to toe. A key to making this monochromatic color scheme interesting is to vary your shades and textures.

Velvet: On the runway, velvet is being shown in a rainbow of colors. I’m imagining it will show up a little closer to the holidays. Purchase velvet in a non-traditional color, and you’ll be able to wear it the rest of the fall/winter knowing you’re “en vogue.”

White shoes: What?! While it seems like white shoes might belong in a spring trend report, there is a lot of white footwear being shown (at least on the runways.) Like the velvet I just mentioned, white booties and loafers will segue easily into spring. (I know, slow down, Dana! Fall hasn’t even officially started.)

Plaid and Checks: Most plaid is showing up in neutral colors, which is great news since neutral plaids are very classic, so you’ll know you’re getting a good value and will be able to wear these pieces for years.

Pantsuit: A pantsuit can be quite the workhorse in your closet. Feel like you’ve been there, done that? Opt for something a little different such as a slouchy look or cropped, slim pants. Then style it a little out of the ordinary.

Fringe: Fringe is a natural on handbags, scarves or shoes, but this fall fringe is huge on clothing. You all probably know how much I love my black, fringed skirt! So much fun…fringed garments are great for a night out dancing!

As promised, this was just a quick preview of what’s to come in what many people consider their favorite season. Stay tuned for frequent updates on the best of what’s to come. And of course, as always you can look forward to my annual fall shoe trend report coming soon!
