Thanksgiving, what? Already?! In my head it weeks from now, but according to the calendar, it’s only 2 weeks away.
I’m kind of a last minute gal as much as I try not to be, but clearly I’m on it. Feeling a bit like a broken record, 2020 is just so different in so many ways.
In addition to planning an outfit (and outfits for you here today,) I’m planning on starting the cooking a day early, too. It’s wondrous what all you can get done when you don’t have to commute!
I’ve put together lots of outfit ideas for Thanksgiving, everything from very casual to more formal depending on how you dress for the day to celebrate gratitude.
If you’re interested in purchasing pieces, you should have plenty of time to get them.
And if you’re not quite up for shopping, you can use these outfits as inspiration to create outfits from your own closet.
Just click each item photo to shop. Scroll across to see all items in a look. I make a small commission from your purchase at no additional cost to you. Let me know if I can assist you with a purchase. Thanks for your support! You can see all of my top pics on my storefront.
I’m not sure how many people are traveling, but if you are, if you take a close look, you could get away with just these pieces for your whole trip. They all go together! Even better, you’ve got a whole, easy fall capsule for when you get home.
Be sure to check out all the styles below the large pic, as I’ve added lots of options for you. Most of the items on this board are from Shopbop. When you check out a garment/accessory, you are shown tons of similar items at tons of different price points…very cool!

I know plenty of women who just don’t love pants and prefer skirts and dresses. This one’s for you! Tiered skirts and dresses are on trend, and this one is gorgeous.
And it has an elastic waist!! A Thanksgiving essential if you ask me. I really like the look of belts on skirts. It finishes the look and is a little unexpected. Be sure to scroll through all the boards–I have a few more belts if you’re in the market.
By the way, if you’re not familiar with them, Aquatalia boots are completely waterproof. Be sure to click through to see all of their styles…they’re also having a huge sale! See the outfit larger in my storefront.
Comfy in Camo and Joggers
Joggers are on trend, but I’ve taken it up a notch for Thanksgiving with faux leather. You get an edgy look with comfort to boot. Not feeling the heels? Sub in pointy toe flats or white, leather sneakers. Or if you’re anything like me…your slippers, lol! Check out this post for a few more ways to wear joggers.

This outfit is the easiest of all. Simply wear your jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt (easy for cooking,) and add the wrap when you’re ready to head to the table. Worried your shawl will fall in the mashed potatoes? Wrangle the fabric in with a belt at your waist. See outfits larger in my storefront.
Be sure to scroll through the items, as I’ve added some great belt options.
Color Blocking for Thanksgiving
I’ve shown lots of “fall colors” for Thanksgiving so far, but of course, black and grey are always en vogue. Here are a couple of color-blocked sweaters to give your look some interest at the Thanksgiving table.
Psst…I own the faux leather leggings and love them! Unlike a lot of leggings on me, they stay up. And after so many years of wearing legging, it’s fun to have something a bit different. See outfits larger in my storefront.
Do you like these Thanksgiving outfit ideas? I hope so!
I feel grateful to be able to help you. Even if you’re staying in and haven’t been shopping during the pandemic, I urge you to treat yourself to even one new item. First off, you deserve it. Secondly, a new outfit can help you feel better!
And lastly, you’ll be contributing to the health of the economy during this crazy time in history.
